River Stewardship Day 2007 Directions

Dick Campbell's Place

360 East By way of Richmond. From Mechanicsville traveling east toward Tappahannock, go approximately 18 miles to the intersection of Routes 30 and 360. At this traffic light, turn right onto Rt. 30 toward West Point for approximately 7 miles. At the Post Office (Horse Landing Rd.- Rt. 619), turn left. Stay straight past the courthouse and follow the signs.

I-64 East or West Take Exit 220 to Route 33, West Point. After crossing the railroad tracks, get into the left lane. At the traffic light, turn left and continue on Rt. 30 for approximately 17 miles to Rt. 619 (Horse Landing Rd.). Turn right (this is just prior to the Post Office). Stay straight past the courthouse and follow the signs.

From Richmond

  • Go East on 360 to Central Garage

  • Head South on 30; go 6.5 miles (to Hamilton-Holmes School)

  • Turn Left on Route 629; go 3.5 miles (1 mile past Walkerton)

  • Turn Right on Route 634 (Mount Elba Road); go 4 miles (toward King & Queen C.H.)

  • Turn Right on Route 632 (Hockley Neck Road); go 4.5 miles (toward King & Queen C.H.)

  • Bear right on Route 14 (The Trail); go 1/4 mile

  • Turn Right on Route 631 (Frazier Ferry Road); go 1 mile

  • Left on James Road and go 1/2 mile to the entrance of Rainbow Acres Campground

I-64 East or West Take Exit 220 to Route 33, West Point.  Continue on Route 33E through West Point, over the Mattaponi River, and into King & Queen County.  Turn left on VA-14 (The Trail).  Continue approx. 14 miles and Turn left onto Fraziers Ferry Rd.  Continue approx. 1 miles and turn left onto James Rd.

 


West Point Boat Landing

From Richmond, travel Eastbound I-64 for 30 miles.  Exit at Route 33 and head Northeast 11 miles to West Point.   Follow Route 33 north through West Point, turn let on Boat Landing Road (before Mattaponi bridge).
